Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Wenova Education handles the personal data it receives through the edu.wenova.io site, in line with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination (Infotv.).
1. The data controller
Data controller: OctoPulse Services Kft.
Registered seat: 3580 Tiszaújváros, Margit sétány 23., Hungary
Company reg. no.: 05-09-037891 · Tax no.: 32586057-2-05
Represented by: Csaba Pija

2. What data we handle and why
Through the website's application form we handle the following data, solely to process your application and to contact you:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- the selected workshop and date, and any coupon code;
- billing details: billing name or company name, tax number (for a company invoice), address and, if different, the billing contact's email address and phone number;
- whether you will join the dinner (optional);
- your consents (terms, privacy, Wenova newsletter, contact by partners) and the version of the accepted terms;
- the status and payment details of the application (amount due, deadline, whether and when it was paid), and the unique identifier of your status page;
- campaign identifiers, if the link contained them (e.g. partner code, utm parameters, the landing page).
Your application is processed by a server-side function: the data is stored in a database (Supabase, EU) and we send a confirmation by email (see section 4). Only the provider's server-side system and our staff handling applications have access to the database.
On submission we technically verify that your email address is deliverable (whether its domain can receive mail), without storing any extra data. On the form you may optionally also consent to our newsletter — see section 5.
Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, or performance of the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)). For paid training and invoicing, a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
3. Retention period
- Application/correspondence data: 1 year from the close of contact.
- Data related to accounting documents (in case of payment): 8 years under Act C of 2000.
- Log of rejected or failed submissions (abuse prevention, troubleshooting, including the submitted data): 12 months, then deleted automatically.
4. Data processors and recipients
- Hosting and application processing: Vercel Inc. (serving the website and processing the application form server-side).
- Database: Supabase Inc. (storing applications, consents and payment status; the data is held on a server in the EU, in Ireland).
- Email and mailbox hosting: Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. (Microsoft 365: mail sent to and from wenova.io addresses, including the workshops@wenova.io mailbox).
- Transactional email delivery: Resend (sending the application and confirmation emails).
- Newsletter and subscriber-list management: Brevo (an EU-based email marketing provider) — only if you subscribe to the newsletter (marketing consent).
- Cookie and tag management: Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Tag Manager) — only with your consent.
- Ad measurement and retargeting: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (LinkedIn Insight Tag) — only with marketing consent.
- Co-organised workshop partners: for the AI Sales & Marketing Workshop (19 November 2026) we share participants' name, email address and company with the workshop's professional partners for delivery purposes only (creating participant accounts in the partner systems in advance, preparing the exercises): Brandiseer, Blackhole Media (Sales-bot) and CommIT Smart Kft. (EstiWise). Partners use the data solely to deliver the workshop; marketing contact by a partner requires your separate consent.
Cookie-related processing (analytics, advertising) is described in section 5 and in the Cookie Policy; these operate only on the basis of your consent. Some of these providers may operate outside the EU (in the USA); any transfer takes place with appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Cookies, web measurement and marketing (consent-based)
Based on your consent, the site may use analytics and marketing cookies or similar identifiers. These are off by default (Google Consent Mode v2) and activate only if you accept on the cookie bar. In that case the following data may be processed: device and browser data, IP address, on-site interactions and pseudonymous identifiers — for ad measurement, retargeting and traffic statistics.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Consent can be withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the homepage footer; withdrawal takes effect going forward and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. The specific providers (Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn Insight Tag) and details are in the Cookie Policy.
Newsletter: if you tick the separate box on the application form, you consent to Wenova contacting you by email about courses, offers and professional news. For this we process your name and email address in Brevo's (EU) subscriber system. You can unsubscribe with one click at any time via the link at the bottom of each newsletter. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). We may also contact participants of our past workshops about similar training on the basis of our existing customer relationship, likewise with one-click unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You are entitled to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can send your requests to workshops@wenova.io; we respond within 30 days at the latest.
You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11., naih.hu.
7. Data security and changes
We handle data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access it only to the extent necessary. We update this policy as needed; the current version is always available on this page.
